CHANGE IS VERY HARD
To change is to change one's habits.
The cliche is very true: habits are a second nature.
Especially when we are asked to change them, especially from our perspective.
To aks us to change our habits is very much like asking us to change our whole personality, to destroy ourselves as we know ourselves.

PERSPECTIVES FOR CHANGE
In view of the difficulties to change, we are naturally asking ourselves: "Why Change?"
To be motivated to change by the lure of financial independence or riches may be done for the short time by promoters of get-rich-quick plans.
But this motivation does not last. The lure of riches is not enough to make most of us change.
An employer is not interested in those short-term motivations: employers who seek change in their employees seek definite and hopefully lasting changes.
In this respect, it is important to consider the 3 perpectives from which persons agree to change:
Perspective#1: We are the creatures of an all loving God who made us in His image. We are called to be perfect as He is perfect. He will help us improve ourselves.
This is the perspective of faith, or the believer's perspective.
Perspective#2: There is no Outside Power, human beings are gods because there is nothing better than human beings on the face of the earth. Human civilization has greatly progressed over the centuries. We are perfectible one by one.
This is the materialistics, or even "scientific" perspective.
Perspective#3: There is no gods whatsoever. But human beings are improvable and to set up to take the course of self-improvement is the only way to define our existence. This is the only game in town. This is the existentialist perspective.

MASTERING DIFFICULT CHANGE
We have had for decades the proof of very effective changes in the most difficult behaviors: the changes that Alcoholics Anonymous graduates have obtained even out of very weak characters and feeble bodies. The only perspective Alcoholic Anonymous has found that works is the believer's perspective (perspective #1 above).
There is no need to further doctrinal depth; this believer's perspective is already the psychological clincher for effective changes.(see Alcoholics Anonymous).
